TO MAKE THE END OF BATTLE
The composer I respect the most is Yuzo Koshiro, the creator of “TO MAKE THE END OF BATTLE.”
His career—starting as a professional composer for Nihon Falcom at the tender age of 18—is simply on a different level. It’s hard to find words for how incredible it is (I’ll leave the specific details to his biography on Wikipedia and elsewhere).
When I was a young child, I used to watch my brother, who is eight years older than me, playing the PC-88 version of Ys II. I also played the Famicom version myself, so it’s a deeply nostalgic game for me. Just thinking about it brings back a flood of emotions.
Considering he composed “TO MAKE THE END OF BATTLE” when he was only around 20 years old, it’s no exaggeration to call him a child prodigy.
I actually wrote this guitar tablature 13 years ago, back in 2013.
Looking back, I just want to tell my past self, “Well done.”
Reviewing it now, I found myself thinking, “I definitely want to practice this!”
The tempo is set at 231 BPM. While my memory is a bit hazy, I recall measuring it very precisely at the time.
